Over 480 adoptions so far

*CR&R does not do same-day adoptions unless you are preapproved.
*Adoption application with references checked & a home visit are required. Please request an application by emailing: digsdogs@frontier.com
*CR&R does not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. All dogs are individually matched to the right home and family.
*All CR&R dogs have basic health checks and are fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered prior to placement unless the dog is a young puppy, where we require a prepaid spay/neuter receipt from your Vet.
*Our basic adoption fees range from $50 to $250 depending on dog's age and health.
*We usually do not adopt to homes with children under the age of five years. Children between the age of five and ten years will be considered depending on the dog and family.
*Most dogs will only be placed into homes with fenced yards. Smaller dogs and/or seniors MAY be placed in homes without fenced yards, depending on the individual dog, however we will not adopt to rural homes with no fenced yards and we do not consider invisible fencing to be adequate.

If you are a senior citizen, please consider adopting an older dog. A healthy small breed dog can live 15 to 18 years and they really don't begin to show their age until about 13 years. Please think about how YOUR age and state of health will affect your new dog's future. Many pets are abandoned because their caregiver has to leave them to enter a nursing home and their family members do not always have space, desire or the ability to care for a pet left displaced by such an event.
